Anonymous asked: Is there a notable difference between vinyl and CD or is it just a placebo effect?

I don’t know; I just like the crackle of the needle running over a record’s grooves. You can’t get that on CD.

  2. roavl said: Technically, vinyl records hold more “data” than CDs do (about the same as an SACD, I think). BUT, us humans probably can’t hear that extra data.
  3. titusandonocus said: I find vinyl to be more of an active listening experience too. Packaging, flipping the record over etc. And colored vinyl is the coolest thing.
