Listening To: Nine Inch Nails - Pretty Hate Machine (1989)
Few records reward unashamed wallowing in self-pity and self-loathing the way that Pretty Hate Machine does. On a normal day, I would probably cringe at some of the lyrics on this album, but right now it feels appropriate. I don’t even know what to do anymore, because all the music I’ve been listening to lately is like this. Maybe days like these are ‘normal’ now.
By the way, I’m not going to be doing my radio show tonight, because WNHU is broadcasting a basketball game. I guess some people care about sports still so that’s what’s happening. Sorry about that.
