If you feel bad about something that happened in your life, converting those feelings into hate is the best gateway out of them. Accept your hate, whether it’s for yourself, someone else, or some general truth about the way the world works. Fucking bottle it up and let it explode in everyone’s face. Revel in your hate. Let it rain over you and encompass every aspect of your existence. Only then will you find true solace and enlightenment.

Alternative Press has an exclusive stream of a new song from Andrew Jackson Jihad. “Hate, Rain On Me” will appear on their forthcoming album Knife Man. Purists beware, there’s not much “folk” going on in this particular folk-punk track. On the Who-referencing “Hate, Rain On Me”, blistering electric guitars leads and harmonies take the place of the heavily strummed acoustic guitars that defined most earlier Andrew Jackson Jihad tracks. Despite the change in sound, this song is excellent. It features some distinctively self-loathing lyrics, sung by a surprisingly in-tune (generally speaking) Sean Bonnette.
