A music blog, established 2010. My name is Chris Cappello and I live in New Haven. I write reviews, broadcast on the radio, collect vinyl, and generally listen to entirely too much new music. Following this blog for all of that and more.

Tune in to my radio show Left of the Dial on WNHU.net, Fridays from 6 to 8 EST.

Delving through my dad’s vinyl collection this morning, I found this… It’s an interesting feeling knowing that one of my favorite albums ever, which I discovered on my own, was also owned by my dad in the 80s when it was originally released. Either way, it should provide the perfect soundtrack to the (hopefully) oncoming snowstorm. Closer is almost paralyzingly and blindingly dark, and produces a feeling the kind of which one might feel if he were trapped alone in the middle of a blizzard.
Or maybe I’m just reading too much into the plain white cover.
