vyr replied to your audio post: Erik Satie - “Gymnopédie No. 1” (Pascal Rogé) I…
yes
The ACME String Quartet played their arrangement of this and two other Satie pieces at the Jeff Mangum show I went to this past weekend and it was beautiful.
Erik Satie - “Gymnopédie No. 1” (Pascal Rogé)
I sleep to this now.
I have a very busy couple weeks coming up. First, I have my radio show tomorrow. After that I’m going to Wilmington Delaware on Saturday, (hopefully) WHY? on Sunday, Andrew Jackson Jihad/Into It. Over It. show and interview on Tuesday. Next friday I’m playing a show at my school, next saturday I’m seeing Hostage Calm with The World Is…, Heavy Breath and Suns, and on the 29th I’m playing another show at The Space. This is all very exciting and the only way I can stop thinking about it is by listening to Erik Satie pieces at very low volumes.
Take a listen and close your eyes.
